Going the Distance on the Cheap and Easy

This site might sound like an advertisement for David Blume but our key to getting places is to modify our old truck's engine compression to burn ethanol. It burns cleaner and that's why race car drivers use it. It's easier to extinguish a fire of ethanol because it's mainly alcohol so we feel a little safer using it.

The other way we will be using it is for our motorized bike system when we go on short trips to town for a nut or bolt, which can be frequently if you are working on equipment.

Because ethanol can be made so clean, the engines run smoother so don't be shocked when your engine works out its little ticks and knocks when you switch over.

Though we don't have or need semi-trucks for grain hauling or other farm surplus goods to a market, you might. So I would check to see if farm-based ethanol would work in coverting those engines to a more acceptable fuel. After all - they do it in Brazil and do it well.
