Small farmers need to be able to compete with large CAFO operations. This means we need to reduce our costs as well as scale up responsibly. We need our products to be of the highest quality so we can make a name for ourselves in our local markets. This means finding every cost saving solution without sacrificing more time and energy to respectable production levels. The following products are for just those kinds of savings.

The Auto-Fodder-Feeder System

Slide the new seed tray in on one side and the finished sprouts slide out the other end. Collect the finished tray and add the wet seed for the next loading. Once a week, fill the bucket with water (and some hydrogen peroxide to elimiate mold) and sprinkle minerals on the sprout trays for added nutrient content. Feeding fresh greens was never so easy!

And your animals will see better health, fertility and production because of it. Dairy animals produce more richer milk, hens lay more high quality eggs, meat animals put on more muscle faster because the sprouting of grains is more digestable than grains! Animals actually prefer sprouted grains to plain dry grains!

You will still need to give your animals pasture in season and hay over winter but any grains you have fed them in the past will now be reasonably priced.

Here's the other side of this equation--You can have all these benefits from an Auto-Fodder-Feeder plus you've reduced your cost of land because you only need to produce a fraction of the grains if you are growing your own grains. An acre of barley that used to feed 100 animals will now feed 800. Or an acre of wheat that used to feed 50 dairy cows will now feed 400. The remaining grass blades and stalk become hay. This makes production scalable and cost effective. Us small farmers can't afford not to do fodder feeding!
