Mushroom Raising

I started reading about mushrooms on: Mushrooming Basics and then I stopped buying mushrooms at once.

Using his peroxide method, any mushroom you find edible can be blended with peroxide and water, then sprayed on the substrate (the material to grow the root system on).

With Morel mushrooms, having a burned down brush pile is a place begin to be innoculated.

For truffles, try spraying the root system of nut and fruit trees.

If you buy the mushroom kits and grow your shrooms in straw then you will have mushrooms faster than if you soak a log but a log can produce mushrooms for many many years - sometimes 20 years or more.
