Whether or not fuel gets more & more expensive, by growing our own - we are locked into our cost of fuel for life! That makes managing the finances much more managable, we're protecting ourselves from possible shortages for transpotation, heating and doing work on the farm.

We grow feed stock for our liquid fuel production, we plant 10 trees for every one we cut for our heat and fuel processing and we use solar gains. We're not off grid yet but we do have some solar and some wind.

On the podcasts, you'll hear about our research in developing our farm fuel in a northern specific climate, discussions on feedstock production, storage and permaculturing plants. you'll hear about our market analysis, various alternative fuel products and how to connect with others. We'll look at equipment needs, co-ops and setting up efficient systems. The best of plans are often sent back to the drawing board so listen as we adjust the processing our own fuels.

We us, fuel production is all about getting more energy in than the energy you spend to make it - or it could be your back that achers! We don't produce huge amounts of fuel - only what we need as our small farm can only process that much. We also strive to make the process "flow" with less time demands on us.
